Implementing Harm Reduction in Case Management was created to support any provider offering case management or care coordination to learn harm reduction approaches to supporting people who use drugs to move toward any positive change. In this course, we’re offering some examples of how to operationalize harm reduction concepts in case management and care coordination services, highlighting both approaches but tools to use that can be applied to build trust/rapport and challenge black-and-white “adherence” or “non-compliant” language and thinking. We want to acknowledge that people taking this course have various levels of power and influence and want to offer enough for everyone, at every level, to make change.
